Natdropp was born from a very simple need: wanting a daily soap that cares for our skin and also the environment.
We lived in the United States for ten years, and it was there that upon our arrival we discovered Castile soap in the supermarket aisles: free of harsh chemicals, based on olive oil, and with a thousand possible uses. Since then, it has become a part of our lives: we use it as shower soap, hand soap, and face soap for the whole family, for washing clothes, and even for cleaning kitchen utensils. A natural and versatile soap.
But upon returning to Europe, we couldn't find it easily. Not in large stores, not in a liquid form for everyday use, and not on online platforms. All the liquid soap options we found on the market contained chemicals and harmful ingredients.
So we decided to bring back a classic that has been part of our country's history for centuries. A soap from the past, but designed for today's times.

The history of Castile soap is the story of one of the oldest and most prestigious soaps in Europe. Its origins date back to around the 12th century, when the Kingdom of Castile perfected the production of plant-based soaps, focusing on olive oil and eliminating other lower-quality fats.
The Spanish formulation enjoyed great international success in the Middle Ages, and Spain became the largest European exporter of this product, enjoying a prestigious position as it was used by nobles and royalty. Over the centuries, and with the growing supply of products from multinationals (synthetic soaps and detergents), Castile soap fell into obscurity for the vast majority.
The growing awareness of health and sustainability that we are experiencing in Europe creates a favorable climate for the recovery of a product that is so uniquely ours.
